Jamie was born and raised in Western Michigan, graduating from Grand Valley State University. After college, she and her husband moved to Northern Virginia to pursue work and graduate school. Several years later, Jamie completed her Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Marymount University, in Arlington, Virginia. She began her career working in outpatient orthopedics, which is where she has continued to work for the past 11 years.

As her career grew, as well as her family, she developed a passion for pelvic health. Through extensive continuing education, she expanded her skill set to include pelvic health physical therapy for women, men, those of an undecided orientation, and pediatric incontinence. Pelvic health physical therapy is such a vital addition to overall health and wellness. Not limited to pregnant and post partum moms, pelvic health includes all musculoskeletal diagnoses related to the pelvis and digestive system. Jamie found helping patient’s eliminate years of pelvic pain, incontinence or recover after surgery or birth, to be incredibly rewarding.

Jamie and her family lived in Northern Virginia for 12 years, then returned home to Michigan briefly for 3 years to spend more time with their families, before returning back to Northern Virginia. Jamie enjoys spending time with her family and friends, exploring the outdoors, working out and strength training, as well as playing with her children. With a desire to spend more quality time with her family, Jamie knew it was time to become her own boss, and offer a mobile service to the community as well as an in studio option.

During a global pandemic, bringing quality, one on one physical therapy services to the safety of the patient’s home seemed like a wonderful idea. Now, she is able to deliver experienced and quality physical therapy directly to her patients, without the pressure of tight clinic scheduling or the confines of many bodies in one space. As an alternative, Jamie treats within SAPT, the areas premier strength and performance training center. Partnering with SAPT allows patients to receive the full circle of care from rehabilitation through return to fitness and even beyond.
